Meet the Team
The Message Pad Limited's board directors are supported by a management team encompassing operations, customer services, training, sales and marketing and accounts. With many years' experience in a variety of industry sectors, the team is structured to ensure your business requirements are our priority.
Customer Services

The Customer Services Team members are based in our Nottingham contact centre and, between them, have over 36 years' experience supporting mplcontact clients and callers.
Clockwise, from top right, the team is: Tracey Limbert (Head of Outsourced Operations) who has been with mplcontact since 2003; Georgina Hurst has over 11 years experience at mplcontact; Alex Cook has worked for the company for some 4 years and Nichola Miller for over 13 years. Georgina, Alex and Nichola all started their careers at mplcontact as agents and so have an unsurpassed understanding of our services and technology. The entire team is dedicated to achieving the optimum level in customer service, getting it right first time and ensuring the customer experience for both our clients and our callers is always of the highest standard.

Alan Howarth - Chairman

Alan Howarth is the Chairman of the company. He is also Chairman of Gresham Computing plc, the Highams Group plc and of an NHS Trust and is a Non Executive Director of the MacLellan Group plc.
Prior to this he was Managing Director of Compass Management Consulting and a partner with Ernst & Young for nearly 20 years. His corporate experience further includes Bass, Hewlett-Packard and BTR. He has extensive experience in business outsourcing and professional service centres. He provides input into several technology forums to leading public and private concerns.
Paul White - Chief Executive Officer

Paul White joined Message Pad Limited as Chief Executive Officer in May 2005. Paul has spent the last 15 years working in and around the CRM and Contact Centre industry and is one of the industry pioneers in the creation of affordable call and contact centre solutions. Prior to joining Message Pad he was the founding CEO of BT Contact Central, which, over 4 years, grew into a global business across the UK, Europe and Asia Pacific. Whilst at BT, Paul was responsible for designing some of the largest Call Centres in Europe and had major roles in systems architecture, product management and sales. He has designed, built or sold literally 100’s of call centre and CRM solutions from IP Telephony systems through Sales Force Automation tools.
Gary Sutton - Finance & Operations Director

Gary joined Message Pad Limited in 2001 as Finance Director and now also has responsibility for Operations, encompassing the contact centres, customer analyst teams, franchised offices and customer service representatives. Prior to Message Pad Ltd, he spent 9 years at Ernst & Young, progressing from a junior unqualified accountant, through the ICAEW qualifications to Senior Management in Entrepreneurial Services with responsibility for advice and business services to growing owner-managed businesses. A further 4 years were spent at Prontaprint - 2 years as Finance Director and 2 years as General Manager and Commercial Director with overall responsibility for the marketing and development of the franchised network.
Praveen Vemula - CTO

Praveen Vemula joined Message Pad Limited as Chief Technology Officer in July 2008. Praveen has over 14 years’ experience in developing software solutions for several industry verticals using various technologies. Praveen heads the development teams of mplsystems and is responsible for the enterprise architecture and continuing development of intelligentContact and Aurora.net, the flagship cloud-based telephony and CRM offering of mplsystems. Prior to joining Message Pad Ltd, Praveen spent 7 years in British Telecom Plc as Product Development Manager. During this time, he successfully led development of enterprise-level and mission-critical web based call centre solutions integrated with various CRM and ERP systems, such as Siebel, SAP and Microsoft Dynamics, and managed cross cultural teams globally. Praveen has a first class honours degree in computer science and engineering and is currently an EMBA student of Henley Business School.
